  • When You Were Small In Your Own Eyes Verse

    1 Samuel 15:17

ESVAnd Samuel said, “Though you are little in your own eyes, are you not the head of the tribes of Israel? The Lord anointed you king over Israel.

NIVSamuel said, “Although you were once small in your own eyes, did you not become the head of the tribes of Israel? The Lord anointed you king over Israel.

NASBSo Samuel said, ‘Is it not true, though you were insignificant in your own eyes, that you became the head of the tribes of Israel? For the Lord anointed you as king over Israel.

CSBSamuel continued, “Although you once considered yourself unimportant, have you not become the leader of the tribes of Israel? The Lord anointed you king over Israel

NLTAnd Samuel told him, ‘Although you may think little of yourself, are you not the leader of the tribes of Israel? The Lord has anointed you king of Israel.

KJVAnd Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the Lord anointed thee king over Israel?

NKJVSo Samuel said, “When you were little in your own eyes, were you not head of the tribes of Israel? And did not the Lord anoint you king over Israel?

In the Scripture, Saul was handpicked by God to be the first king of Israel. He played a crucial role in uniting the Israelites under one leadership toward the end of the period of “the Judges.” There was much to admire about Saul, the man God told the prophet Samuel to anoint as the king. The Scripture says that he was tall and handsome, gifted in leadership. But when it was time for Saul to be crowned king in front of the people, they couldn’t find him.

“But when they looked for him, he was not to be found. So they inquired further of the Lord, ‘Has the man come here yet?’ And the Lord said, ‘Yes, he has hidden himself among the supplies.’”

    — 1 Samuel 10:22-23 (NIV)

Eventually, someone found him hiding among the bundles and boxes where the supplies were kept. Even though he had a powerful experience with God, and had already been anointed for the job, he hid from his calling because he didn’t see himself the same way God saw him. He was fearful to accept the challenge placed before him and he risked not becoming all God called him to be.

Ultimately, Saul did rise to the occasion and, years later, the prophet Samuel referred to that moment when He asked Saul, “Although you were once small in your own eyes, did you not become the head of the tribes of Israel?” (1 Samuel 15:17). Saul was not the only person chosen and called by God for great things who chose to hide because they were “small in their own eyes.” Many of us have done the same thing for the same reason.

⚔️ “THE LORD IS WITH YOU, MIGHTY WARRIOR”

In Judges 6, we find God’s people, the Israelites, being continually raided, robbed, and oppressed by powerful tribes of desert nomads called the Midianites and Amalekites. During this turbulent period of the judges, with no formal government or army, the twelve tribes of Israel were basically powerless to stop the raiders from the wilderness who came “like swarms of locusts and whose numbers were impossible to count.” Because of the incessant raids on their fields and livestock, the Israelites lost their confidence that their God would fight their battles for them and were living their lives just hoping to avoid the thieves.

It’s no surprise then for us to find a future warrior, Gideon, safely steering clear of the raiders by holing up in a winepress, threshing wheat. That’s right: The story of a man we now know as one of the great, heroic military leaders of the Bible begins with him essentially hiding, hoping to protect himself, with no inkling of his destiny.

Certainly, the thought of being a hero to his people never occurred to him. But God had bigger and better plans for Gideon, and it started with helping him see himself as God saw him. When he was in the winepress threshing wheat, an angel of the Lord appeared and said:

“The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.”

    — Judges 6:12 (NIV)

Those words must surely have changed the atmosphere in that winepress. It challenged Gideon’s attitude and perspective about two things: himself and his circumstances. But Gideon’s response was one of complete confusion. There was nothing about the angel’s greeting that made any sense to him at that moment.

Rather than pause and let God’s Word sink into his spirit, Gideon did what we often do. We hear our Heavenly Father greeting us with declarations in His Word of who we really are: “Victorious. Capable. Valuable. Strong. Masterpiece. Highly favored.” We question it. We think, “You can’t be talking about me.”

As we often do, Gideon questioned the good news. Upon hearing the angel’s greeting, he replied with a skeptical question. He basically asked the angel, “If that is the case, where is the God who worked wonders in the past, bringing the Israelites out of Egypt?” It’s clear that Gideon was not only fearful, but he was discouraged and bitter about the long, humiliating defeat his people labored under. He and his people had been mistreated and taken advantage of for so long that it looked hopeless. He was saying, “God, where have You been?”

🚀 Go in the Strength You Have

I love the Lord’s messenger’s response to Gideon. Rather than dwell on the past, he said, “Gideon, go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?”

“The Lord turned to him and said, ‘Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?’”

    — Judges 6:14 (NIV)

God was saying, “You go, Gideon. Go in the strength you have. Not the strength you wish you had. Not in the strength some other person who you think is more qualified has. I will be with you. Go confidently, knowing that I, the Almighty God, am sending you.”

God didn’t say, “Gideon, stay where you are until you get some leadership classes.” He didn’t say, “Don’t move until you understand it or feel totally equipped.” He didn’t say, “Wait until things change and are looking favorable.” No, God said, “Go! Go, and, as you get moving, I’ll give you more strength along with whatever else you need to have victory. I will be with you. I’ll give you grace to go and succeed.”

When you use what you have—no matter how little it seems—God will multiply it. Don’t wait until you feel like a mighty hero. God works in our circumstances when we have faith, even the smallest amount of it. God’s promises are motion-activated.

🤔 “But How Can I…?” The Excuse of Inadequacy

However, Gideon wasn’t convinced by God’s “Go.” He still had questions. “Pardon me, but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family” (Judges 6:15).

Gideon was saying: “You have the wrong guy, Lord. My family lacks in so many areas, and I surely don’t have what it takes. Obviously, You haven’t realized that we can never seem to get ahead.” He was certain he had a rock-solid excuse for why he was unqualified for this divine assignment.

It was interesting how God was not seeing him the way he saw himself. What a contrast in the two perspectives. While Gideon’s mind was focused only on the problems he was facing, and how he was going to survive, God had bigger and higher thoughts about him. He was looking at Gideon’s future, and what he could become.

Gideon saw himself as weak, not able, but God saw a fearless, courageous warrior. Gideon’s self-image was out of sync with God’s view.

🎨 Align Your View with God’s Masterpiece

Could it be that your self-image is also out of sync with God’s true vision of who you are? Unqualified, weak, or insignificant for what God is asking you to do and be?

We all have negative thoughts that push us back and try to talk us out of what is in our hearts, thoughts that may come from past failures or from voices from our pasts that told us we don’t have what it takes.

But God calls you His masterpiece.

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

    — Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

There is power in dwelling on this truth, letting it drop into your spirit, and repeating it to yourself over and over. You are a highly favored son or daughter of the Most High God, and it’s important to declare over yourself what He says about you. When you echo back God’s thoughts toward you, it will change the atmosphere in your winepress. It will set you up with the strength to do what God has destined you to do.

He’s saying, “I am with you. I am for you. I have an amazing destiny waiting for you. So… Go! Stop sitting in the winepress waiting until you have what you think is enough. Go in whatever strength and ability you currently have now. I will give you all the grace you will ever need.”

  • Moving Into God’s Promises Sermon

Have you ever felt stuck? Like you’re staring at a map, but the path forward is blurred? Maybe it was a change you wanted to make, a goal you wanted to reach. Or maybe you encountered an unusually challenging situation that you were determined to face head-on. You started out strong but because of roadblocks or unfortunate circumstances, you lost sight of what could be. Now the dream looks too big, the problem too great. You tried, but it didn’t work out. Now it seems like it’s too late.

At times we all experience unfamiliar circumstances or transitions in our lives that make us feel uneasy and even fearful. We don’t feel qualified. We don’t have the training, the connections, or the experience for what’s in front of us. Any time you try to move forward, voices whisper, “You’re not strong enough, good enough, talented enough.”

I have written this post to help you take that step of faith, to live actively within the belief that God has equipped you to do what He has called you to. No one who’s ever done anything great in life has done it without fear. So let’s learn how we’re graced to go—not in the strength we wish we had —but in the strength we do have, through God’s infinite power, His love for us, and through the amazing plans He has for each of our lives.

One of the things that constantly raises a lot of questions in my mind is God’s promises. I can plainly see how God made promises to His people and was consistently incredibly dependable in keeping them as I study the Old Testament. Stories like the life of Abraham or the Israelites’ Exodus from Egypt make it abundantly clear that He is a God who keeps His promises. But how can I determine which promises in God’s Word truly apply to me as a follower of Christ when I consider how it relates to me today? How can I live my life believing in His promises?

    2 Peter 1:3-4 says:

“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.

God had high purposes in mind when he included this passage in the Bible. Not only do we worship an eternal God who has ruled and will continue to rule, but He also consistently fulfills His promises.

God was already aware that in a world and generation that values instant results, it can be difficult for us as humans to keep our word. God was already aware that we might experience disappointment from loved ones, people, and circumstances that could make it difficult for us to believe that the promise would be fulfilled.

God already knew that even humans find it difficult to make and keep promises, but our God is not like that.

🛡️ The Battle for Your Mind

It’s easy to let self-doubt, insecurity, or fear keep us from stepping into the new things God has in store for us. The defeating thoughts and feelings come swiftly and noisily, threatening to drown out God’s reassuring and affirming voice, pulling us away from the vision, the dream, the calling.

This internal struggle is a central theme in the Bible. The Apostle Paul understood it well. He wrote about taking control of our thoughts and aligning them with truth:

“We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.”

    — 2 Corinthians 10:5 (ESV)

This verse isn’t about positive thinking; it’s about captive thinking. It’s the active process of identifying the lies of “you’re not enough” and replacing them with God’s truth.

💪 How Do We Stand Firm?

How do we stand firm in the knowledge that we wouldn’t be facing the giant if God hadn’t already given us a sling? How do we trust the promise that with God’s blessing and favor, we will bring down giants? How can we live our days in the knowledge that we are not lacking, not at a disadvantage, not too old or too young, that we have everything we need to fulfill the destiny that God has appointed for us?

The answer often comes back to remembering who God is and who He says we are. When Moses felt completely inadequate for the giant task of leading Israel out of Egypt, God’s response wasn’t a pep talk about Moses’ skills. It was a revelation of His own presence.

“And God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM.’ And he said, ‘Say this to the people of Israel: “I AM has sent me to you.”’”

    — Exodus 3:14 (ESV)

Our strength isn’t found in our own “I am” – “I am strong,” “I am capable.” It’s found in His “I AM.” We are equipped because He is with us.

🚶‍♂️ Moving into God’s promises requires faith in action

It’s about getting out of the comfort and confines of what you think you are capable of and trusting that God can lead you into the places He has for you. For most of us, that means reaching for more than what we think is attainable. It means stepping across the line that fear has drawn. It means being willing to take on projects and responsibilities that may look overwhelming to you. It’s understanding that God has allowed that challenge in your life because He knows you’re capable of overcoming it.

This is the essence of the “Hall of Faith” in Hebrews 11, where ordinary people did extraordinary things by acting on their faith.

“By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.”

    — Hebrews 11:8 (NIV)

Abraham didn’t have a full map. He had a promise and a direction. His step of faith was the first one.

🔊 Listening to the Right Voice

It’s tempting to shrink back, but when you listen, you’ll hear that still small voice telling you to move forward. When you take that step of faith, God will step in and help you do what you feel you can’t do. You’ll discover ability that you didn’t know you had.

You can’t wait until your fear disappears. You may have to step out in faith, in spite of the fear. You may never feel like all the conditions are right. Too many of us are living with hidden dreams, unused talents, and untapped potential simply because we’ve let fear convince us to play it safe.

God’s message is consistently one of courage, not because of our strength, but because of His.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

    — Joshua 1:9 (ESV)

    Moving Into God’s Promises Verses

Matthew 7:7 states, “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”

Habakkuk 2:2-4 states , “Then the Lord said to me, “Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed. “Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.”

Galatians 6:1 states , “Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.”

NOT FORSAKING the ASSEMBLING of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
I pray that it won’t be your manner to forsake God’s presence and house in Jesus name.

    Unity and Social Support

Church provides a sense of community and belonging.
Worshipping together as a family with other families, strengthens our bond and creates shared experiences.
It reminds us that we are part of something bigger than just ourselves. A bigger family of believers in Christ.
    Psalm 133:1 (KJV),
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”
Show that you are part of the spiritual family by bringing your family to be with other families to worship Jehovah!

    Setting a Godly Example

When parents prioritize church attendance, they are modeling the faith of their children & family.
Church attendance teaches them the importance of Worship, Fellowship, fear of the LORD, love for God, and genuine Stewardship, etc.
Attending church together instills spiritual values in our children and creates a legacy of faith for generations to come.

🎯 O Lord my God, be not far from me. O my God, hasten to help me, for varied thoughts and great fears have risen up within me, afflicting my soul. How shall I escape them unharmed? How shall I dispel them?

“I will go before you,” says the Lord, “and will humble the great ones of earth. I will open the doors of the prison, and will reveal to you hidden secrets.”

Do as You say, Lord, and let all evil thoughts fly from Your face. This is my hope and my only comfort—to fly to You in all tribulation, to confide in You, and to call on You from the depths of my heart and to await patiently for Your consolation.

    ✅ Conclusion:

May these prayers be a source of strength and solace. Remember the words of St. Peter: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7, NIV). Be at peace, for you are held in God’s loving hands.

  • Bible Verses for Overcoming Fear of Death

The fear of death if not controlled can lead to people losing their lives before their appointed time. long life is our heriatage in Christ as believers. There are Spiritual Steps we can apply to our lives to Overcome the Fear of Death.

It is very important and extremely crucial for you to realise that God loves your family more than you do, even though you care for and love them. God is very much interested in keeping you and your family on earth to fulfill his will and purpose. Look at these scriptuures for a start:

    1. God is never going to leave you. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified … for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV

The consciousness of God’s presence around you can be a great way to drive out that fear of death in your heart.

This world is not our forever home. For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come. Hebrews 13:14 NLT

God’s peace will comfort you. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:4 NIV And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 NIV

Heaven sounds like a place I want to be. “‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:4 NIV

These scriptures above let’s us understand that at the proper time, we can leave this earth for a better place. It’s more like a transition and not a total end. You can see it as phase two of your life.

What does the Bible say about the fear of death?

Fear! One of the greatest fears that people list is the fear of death as well as the fear of the unknown. It points to one side of “the sting of death.” And to a mature follower of Christ, it should dissipate as a person focuses on the promises of God. The great saints and martyrs of Hebrews 11 all shared in a common bond: an assured faith in knowing where they were headed after this life ended. It was call the “better resurrection”, the Godly city, a heavenly country and the great reward. Paul, in the midst of imprisonment, beatings, shipwrecks and persecution, maintained his Godly outlook and contentment with his attitude of “To live is Christ, to die is gain”. To believe in our heavenly destiny not only can alleviate fear but minimize the grip we have on this world of uncertainty.

The second aspect of overcoming the “sting of death” is in the promises offered to the survivors, an offer of a peace that transcends understanding and an assurance that with every loss, there is purpose. Jesus stated in his Sermon on the Mount, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” What is the comfort of mourning? Every loss and trial has the potential of character development. It is at funerals when people appear to offer their greatest expressions of empathy and support and when friends become especially meaningful. Every memorial is an opportunity for those who grieve to transform their attitudes about matters of faith.

Scriptures pertaining to dying in Christ

    Romans 8:38-39

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

    1 Corinthians 15:51-57

Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”

    John 11:25-26

Jesus said to her,“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

    John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

    1 Corinthians 2:9

What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.

    Revelation 1:17-18

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying,“Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.”

    Revelation 14:13

And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!”

    Romans 14:7-9

For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.

    Philippians 1:21-23

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better.

    2 Timothy 4:7-8

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.

    Revelation 21:4

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

    James 1:12

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

    1 Corinthians 15:42-44

So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

    2 Corinthians 5:6-9

So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight.Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.

    Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

    1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.

    1 Peter 1:23-25

…You have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God; for “All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever.”

    Job 1:21

And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”

“Fear not” – Overcoming Dismal Fear

We have all been gripped by fear at some point in our lifetime. Yet, God commands us to not be afraid. Have you ever noticed how often we are told to “fear not” in scripture? This repetition is proof that we need to fully surrender our worries to God.

Fear is a silent form of atheism—the act of questioning God’s sovereignty. Why would we question God when we are promised hope and healing in his arms? The truth of the matter is that we serve a God who is beyond faithful. He will always show up for us in our most desperate hour of need.

Did you know that God is the only one who holds the power to banish our fears from existence? He can release you from your fear just as He did for the psalmist, who said, “I sought the LORD, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears” (Psalm 34:4).

“For I am with you”: Overcoming Desolate Fear

The Lord our God is with us. What an amazing truth for us today. In Hebrews 13:5-6, Jesus promises to never leave or forsake His people. Regardless of our circumstances, He is there to comfort us in our most desolate state. Even when we encounter the evil one, God is there. Remember the words of King David:

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4

How can we remain fearful when the Lord promises good to us—when He promises to be with us in spirit? The fully realized presence of Christ is the secret to our release from the bonds of fearfulness.

“Be not dismayed”: Overcoming Desperate Fear

To be dismayed is to be discouraged. This is a key tactic from the devil to harm us, put us down, and keep us down. In the same way, the “spirit of fear” is not from the Lord but from the one who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. But we can take heart knowing that God is on our side, and even the demons tremble at his voice!

1 Samuel 30:6 says, “And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.”

When everything was crumbling around him, David went straight to Lord in his greatest time of need. He avoided the distractions that were around him and went directly to the one who could bring him out of his misery. So, believer, if you are discouraged today, seek God and find refreshment and encouragement straight from the source.

“For I am your God”: Overcoming Despairing Fear

Knowing that God promises to be with us should change our perspective as believers. In the same way, knowing who God is and that He is our Lord should have the same impact. If you are bruised and battered or broken by the trials and tests of life, listen to these words. They hold so much power and hope for our lives. We worship a personal God who is seeking an intimate relationship with us through His son, Jesus Christ.

Amid uncertainty, God calls us by name and says, “I have called you by name, and you are mine” (Isaiah 43:1). Thank you, Lord, for this firm assurance.

“I will strengthen you”: Overcoming Depressing Fear

When we encounter the demands of ordinary everyday life, the Lord is our support. He gives us grace upon grace, just like he told the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. We know this to be Paul’s testimony in the New Testament—and countless others in the Bible. We are offered the same promise from the Lord. Trust that when you feel week, the Almighty God is there to hold you up and make you strong.

“I will help you”: Overcoming Dreadful Fear

In Romans, we read, “Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words” (Romans 8:26). While the immediate reference here is to prayer, we must not ignore the role of the Holy Spirit. When we are weak, the Lord comes alongside us to strengthen us. The Holy Spirit is near and indwelling within us.

Whatever you are facing today, the Lord is right beside you, offering a helping hand. All you need to do is trust Him and fully submit your situation to Him.

“I will uphold you”: Overcoming Defenseless Fear

The final and most important truth I want you to realize is this: God will uphold you. When we place our whole trust in Christ Jesus, we are promised an eternity in paradise by His side. Ultimately, we should have nothing to fear when scripture tells us, “to live is Christ and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21). We have so much to gain beyond our temporary home. We are promised a seat in heavenly places next to the one true God.

    So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

We don’t have to worry about whether we’re enough. We don’t have to fret over whether we’re good enough or intelligent enough to share what Jesus has done for the world. He has equipped us with His Spirit-the same Spirit that’s pursuing the people around us.

    20. There is no fear in love (1 John 4:16-18)

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

WINNING THE BATTLES OF LIFE !

Dearly beloved, life is a battlefield, and all our inheritances in Christ are always contested by the enemy. Hence, the Bible says we must fight the good fight of faith. 1Tim.6:12

Beloved, man’s adventures on earth is essentially warfare and most of the warfare are spiritual, which also requires spiritual solutions as answers or for us to be victorious. Satan is daily fighting the saints of God. The Bible says, he vowed to fight everyone who keeps the commandments of God & has the testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ. Rev.12:17.

So, the kingdom of God demands some form of violence and only the violent is entitled to their portions, because of the stiff opposition of Satan and his cohorts. Matt.11:12

If Satan can declare war in Heaven, who are you that Satan cannot fight? Rev.12:7 Bible says, ” And there was war in Heaven…”.
Beloved, Life will never offer to you what you deserve, but life will always offer to you what you demand.

God has given you your inheritance and portions, but you need to fight for them. Deuteronomy 2:24. We shall fight the good fight of faith at the altar of prayers, because God has guaranteed us victory. Isaiah 43:2-3

Great servant of God, no one can go far in life as a ” spiritual civilian”. The person may look too cheatable or molestable. The violence of faith is the gateway to a triumphant life. You need to be awake today and turn the tables against your enemies!
